Open and Clear Accountability

On May 28th at the Chía extension, the institution will present the 2024 results, highlighting academic, social, and infrastructure impact.

The University of Cundinamarca will present its achievements for the 2024 term on May 28 in Chía, highlighting advancements in research with 115 approved projects, the expansion of postgraduate studies with 7 new programs, and a strong focus on student welfare with 7,088 beneficiaries of Renta Joven.   

In the academic sphere, UCundinamarca significantly advanced research, securing approval for 115 projects in the 7th and 8th calls for proposals. In addition, 71 early-career researchers participated in events organized by the COLSI Network, representing a 100% increase in participation and a strong boost to the development of research skills. Publishing was also a key area, with the release of 13 new titles at FilBo 2024.  

The university expanded its educational offerings with the creation of 7 new graduate programs, responding to the region's advanced training needs. Likewise, 820 Digital Badges were awarded in recognition of the skills and achievements of the university community.  

Student welfare was also another priority, demonstrated by 7,088 beneficiaries of the Youth Income (Renta Joven) program and 690 students who accessed socioeconomic support. A total of 5,415 academic monitorings and 301 psychosocial guidances were conducted, providing comprehensive support to the students.  

UCundinamarca also made progress in digital transformation and process efficiency. The 100% user creation process on the platform, email, and Teams was automated. In addition, 1,109 certificates were generated using blockchain technology, and 96% of the processes were digitized thanks to the development of document management software.  

Regarding transparency and accountability, the university obtained a score of 100/100 on the Transparency and Access to Information Index (ITA). Good corporate governance practices were implemented, and dialogical and educational meetings were developed to strengthen dialogue with the university community.  

Finally, it is important to highlight the institution's financial management, which received a favorable rating in the financial and management audit.  

The Accountability Report of UCundinamarca is presented as a space to showcase these and other important achievements, reaffirming the institution's commitment to educational quality, research, well-being, and regional development.
