Over the cold lands of the Bogotá Savanna, the Muisca settled—long before the arrival of the Spanish—in a territory rich in nature, fauna, and flora, dubbed “strong enclosure at the end of the plain”: Facatativá. Over time, the municipality has transformed into an important agro-industrial and business center of the region, where UCundinamarca—committed to the training of professionals from the different provinces of the Department—opened its extension in 1992. Currently, with six undergraduate programs and two specializations, the Facatativá Extension is one of the campuses with the largest number of students in the institution.
