The university is one of society's oldest social institutions that has endured despite the various crises it has experienced; however, today, in the era of globalization, digitalization, and mass education, its potential decline is feared.
It is predicted that by 2030, 301% of occupations will be replaced by humanoids., Likewise, the need to increase food production due to overpopulation by 2050, the devastating effects of climate change, and other phenomena allow us to affirm that we are living through a disruptive moment in human history, where humanity itself is the primary agent of both cause and effect. Regarding the Colombian situation, violence, intolerance, exclusion, and domination persist. Deep-rooted centralism continues and fails to exert the necessary influence on the territory, while science, technology, and innovation remain in their infancy.
