The swimming team won six medals and outstanding results in the 2026 Friendship Cup held in Girardot.

The UCundinamarca sports club once again stood out on the national sports scene thanks to the participation of its swimming team in the 2026 Friendship Cup, held in Girardot on April 17, 18, and 19.
In the competition, 14 athletes from the institution participated in the Infantil A, Infantil B, Juvenil A and B, Junior, Mayores, and Máster categories, demonstrating talent, discipline, and commitment during each event.
Anyi Lorena Colmenares Galeano, the team coach, highlighted the effort and dedication of the swimmers, who achieved an outstanding performance by winning one gold, three silver, and two bronze medals. In addition, nine athletes reached fourth place and three more took fifth place, reflecting the team's high competitive level.
The coach also highlighted that the championship brought together 286 athletes and 34 clubs from different regions of the country, becoming an important setting for the sports and competitive strengthening of the participants.
The swimming team continues its training and preparation with the goal of continuing to represent the institution in the upcoming competitions on May 23 at the Cafam Melgar Swimming Festival and in the month of July with participation in the Copa Mesitas del Colegio.
