The University of Cundinamarca football team, in the First C category, will face a new challenge this Saturday, July 18, when they visit Flamengo at 3:00 pm at the Municipal Stadium of Cota, with the aim of maintaining first place in the standings of the national championship.

The team comes into this match backed by a campaign that reflects discipline, teamwork, and a high level of competition. During the first half of the tournament, they played nine matches, achieving seven victories, totaling 21 points, and reaching a performance rating of 77.8% (%), establishing themselves as one of the strongest teams in the championship.

According to Santiago Reyes Molina, the team's technical director, the match against Flamengo represents a new opportunity to demonstrate the group's athletic growth and continue consolidating the University's football project. "The team has worked with commitment and responsibility throughout the season. We know that each match demands maximum effort, and our goal is to maintain our lead, proudly representing the University of Cundinamarca," the coach stated.

The statistics support the university team's good form. At home, they maintain a 100% success rate, with four wins in as many matches, ten goals for and only two against. They have also shown strength away from home, registering three wins in five matches, with a 60% success rate.

Among the most outstanding results are the victories against Juventus NBA (2-1), Academia Dorada (2-1) and Blanco y Negro (1-0) as visitors, in addition to the resounding 4-1 victory over Súper Mundial and the solid 3-0 win against Cantera Ilusión at home.

Another aspect that reflects the team's consistency is its defensive performance; during the first round, it conceded a maximum of one goal in four matches and remained undefeated at home, factors that have been key to staying at the top of the standings.

With these results, the University of Cundinamarca soccer team continues to strengthen its sports program, promoting the holistic development of its athletes and solidifying sports as a platform for training, leadership, and teamwork. The match against Flamengo will be another opportunity to continue building on their outstanding season and defend their lead in the Primera C national championship.
