The talent, discipline, and teamwork of the athletes from the University of Cundinamarca Sports Club once again stood out in the region's sports arenas, after obtaining important results in competitions held in Cabrera (Cundinamarca) and Icononzo (Tolima), consolidating the training process led by the Academic Sports Center (CAD).

According to Brandon Esteven Álvarez Gómez, the volleyball team's coach, the first major achievement came during the 1st Cabreruno Volleyball Festival, held in the municipality of Pandi, where the club's delegation had an outstanding performance. In this tournament, the Under-13 Boys' team was crowned champion after defeating the Silvania Sports Training School team 2-1 in a thrilling final. Likewise, the Under-18 Boys' team earned the runner-up position, confirming the club's high level of competition.

The sporting process continued at the 11th National Volleyball Championship “Balcony of the East,” held in Icononzo (Tolima) from July 18th to 19th, where the male and female delegations in the Under-15 and Under-18 categories faced renowned clubs from Bogotá, Neiva, Ibagué, and neighboring municipalities. During the championship, the teams demonstrated a high level of technical skill and competitiveness, advancing to the round of 16 and strengthening their experience at the national level.

Beyond the sporting results, these participations reflect the University of Cundinamarca's commitment to the holistic development of children and young people, promoting sports as a platform to strengthen values such as discipline, teamwork, leadership, and healthy lifestyle habits. “These participations demonstrate the great talent, discipline, and constant work of our athletes. We will continue to consolidate processes that fill the University with pride and motivate more young people to get involved in sports,” highlighted Brandon Esteven Álvarez Gómez, coach of the University of Cundinamarca volleyball team and member of the Academic Sports Center (CAD).

With these results, the University of Cundinamarca continues to strengthen its sports training processes, promoting spaces that foster human development, competitive excellence and the projection of regional talent, in accordance with the principles of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT) and its commitment to the transformation of territories.
