Participation, dialogue with communities, creativity, and learning are some of the key pillars that will drive the University of Cundinamarca’s Social Innovation Lab, which seeks to use innovative methodologies to find solutions to the problems identified in our communities.

“The Social Innovation Lab operates through four main stages. Each of these stages is essential for the proper assessment, design, and implementation of social projects that have a positive impact and bring about positive change in the region,” explained Hamilton Guzmán, the manager leading the initiative conceived by Dr. Adriano Muñoz, the university president, and Dr. Víctor Hugo Londoño, the vice president for academic affairs.

The Co-Creando core experience brings together nearly 30 “"LIS Pioneers"” of institutions such as the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce (Fusagasugá Office), the Fusagasugá Regional Autonomous Corporation – CAR, the Consorcio Ruta 40, Emserfusa, among others, starting at 9:00 am,” noted Patricia Gil, Director of Social Interaction – ISU, the institutional area that incubates the LIS initiative.

The Vive LIS experience will become a reality this November 24 at the CGCA auditorium of the Fusagasugá Headquarters at 3:00 p.m., following an open call to social and environmental organizations, the business sector, citizens of Fusagasugá, and the university community.

People interested in participating in either of these two spaces may do so by simply registering by Thursday, November 23, and the Social Interaction Directorate team will contact them to facilitate their participation in this innovative experience.
