Certified as a Family-Friendly Entity

The University of Cundinamarca receives certification as a Family-Friendly Entity -efr (international standard 3000-1 of 2021) from the Másfamilia Foundation, making it the first Public Higher Education Institution to receive this certification in Ibero-America

Family-friendly companies are characterized by their good practices in the well-being of their employees, customers, and their families, taking into account that they promote a more balanced life project between personal and professional life, more fulfilling and with a better quality of life; variables found by the Másfamilia Foundation at the University of Cundinamarca to grant this certification.

“The continuous effort they have demonstrated over several years is fundamental to obtaining this certification and being part of a learning community that will allow us to improve together,” said Roberto Martínez, director of the EFR Initiative.

For his part, Rector Adriano Muñoz Barrera stated that this certification represents a significant challenge. “We accept this challenge, and today a great undertaking begins. We have acquired a seal that truly commits us to continue promoting a transmodern human being. In this sense, the goal is to continue striving to achieve a balance between personal life, family, and work, as envisioned by the Transmodern Digital Educational Model – MEDIT, which prioritizes being over doing.”.

The idea originated at the University of Cundinamarca in 2020 as a social responsibility initiative within the university's work-life balance management model. “This initiative addresses the individual and the family as a key dimension of our Educational Model – MEDIT. More than just a new label, this is a profound commitment to a cultural transition and transformation towards a transhuman approach at the University of Cundinamarca,” stated Patricia Gil, EFR Manager and Director of the University's Office of Social Interaction.

With this certification, UCundinamarca invites the entire university community to continue building actions that demonstrate its commitment as a Family-Friendly Institution.
