The day began with the presentation of the 2019-2023 Rectoral Plan of the University of Cundinamarca: “Translocal Transmodern” by the rector Adriano Muñoz Barrera and the participation of the administrative officials including program directors, office heads, secretaries, support staff and other professionals who contribute to the mission function and administrative management of the organization.
“The Institutional Development Plan is the union of the university’s vision and mission; it must be aligned with the continuous improvement plan and contribute to strengthening all management processes. It is important that it can be measured and evaluated through action plans,” said Eduardo Ortiz González.
It is worth noting that the first input in this construction is the master plan focused on the strategic fronts: Multidimensional Field of Learning, Transcendent Mission, Translocal Transmodern Culture, University Wellbeing Constitutive of Life and Freedom, Border Dialogue, Intelligent University Organization with Soul and Heart.
The following conclusions stand out from the constructive dialogue session:
-Strengthen social responsibility in defense of sustainability and sustainability in the university community, focused on certification in the ISO 14001 standard in its 2015 version, a document that seeks to certify UCundinamarca in the care and protection of the environment.
– To be recognized as a green university, through tree planting, LED lighting to 100%, incorporating nature into academic environments with vertical gardens or green walls.
– Improve organizational climate with internal and external groups of the university.
-Modernization of the network and communications infrastructure, fiber optic connection, structured cabling, electrical network, Wi-Fi service and digital telephony of the Cundinamarca University.
The Director of Institutional Planning, Eduardo Ortiz, highlighted that the final document is projected for March and will be the roadmap for all mission processes. He also emphasized that it is a participatory process in which the aim is to gather as many contributions as possible from all focus groups.
At the same time, Ortiz reported that the plan's methodology will include an additional participatory component: an online survey. Meanwhile, the student and faculty group will participate through the "World Café" format, and administrative staff and graduates through working groups.
World Coffee Methodology
It's an easy-to-use method for creating "living networks" of collaborative dialogue around issues that matter. Different Cafés—in different contexts—have been called different things to serve different purposes. For example: Creative Cafés, Strategic Cafés, Leadership Cafés, and Community Cafés. World Café conversations are based on the principles and format developed by World Café: a global movement that supports conversations that matter in corporate, government, and community settings around the world.
