The rector of the institution, Adriano Muñoz Barrera, and the administrative team of the Fusagasugá headquarters met in the Emilio Sierra Baquero auditorium for a three-hour session in which the rector's plan, Universidad de Cundinamarca Translocal Transmoderna, was presented. This plan serves as the basis for constructing the 2020-2023 development plan in a dialogical manner, through the analysis of the six strategic fronts included in the document.
How are you applying transmodernity in your daily work? This was the question posed by the senior manager to the participants, who agreed that transmodernity was directly related to the use and application of new technologies to all processes.
“The great invitation offered by concepts like translocality and transmodernity is to transcend from the local to the global, but without forgetting the essence of being, of that being who is called to defend life, civility, and freedom. As a social organization of knowledge, we are not here to certify professionals but to form human beings with values,” was the emphatic call from the rector of UCundinamarca.
The conclusions and contributions of the day included:
-From all areas, the commitment is to work towards obtaining the High Institutional Quality registration.
-The institution transcends the traditional proposal of teaching and certifying to be an organization with soul, heart and intelligence that involves the entire university community to contribute and receive.
-The University aims to establish a cross-border dialogue with Latin America.
-Consolidating the institution's vision requires people of integrity who love what they do.
-At the University of Cundinamarca we work to defend life, civility and values.
-We must learn to relate to each other and work as a team so that the institution has the capacity to reinvent itself.
-We strive to build a culture of quality of life and well-being.
