The II UCundinamarca Graduates Sports and Cultural Meeting culminated with great success, with the active participation of more than 1,300 professionals from the former University Institute of Cundinamarca (ITUC) and the University of Cundinamarca, belonging to the eight campuses of the Institution in the seven provinces of the department where the University has a presence.

This activity aimed to further strengthen the bond between graduates and academia, seeking to preserve, strengthen and highlight the Udecino professional as a transformative and integral agent in the development of the Department of Cundinamarca and the country.
“The outcome of this second meeting is significant and positive; with the event we have managed to connect with great professionals who are making history abroad, as ambassadors of UCundinamarca to the world; thus, this cultural and sporting space has allowed us to reconnect with graduates from different academic programs of the former ITUC and the University, practicing their careers in countries such as Spain, Paris, Belgium, Canada, Argentina, Ecuador, among others,”, Nancy Moreno Amézquita, Representative of Graduates to the Higher University Council, highlighted this.
Within the framework of the different activities carried out in this meeting, graduates were identified leading relevant positions in the public and private sectors such as municipal mayors, government secretaries, hospital sub-directors, directors of academic health institutions, rectors of public and private schools, academic coordinators and professors with business, industrial, environmental and research experience.

The Second Alumni Meeting featured Frey Eduardo Quintero Suárez, known as Boyacoman, a comedian who shared his musical comedy routine with the graduates, along with funny topics about family, childhood, adolescence, university life, and how the cell phone is the center of today's society.
The event developed various sports and recreational activities in each of the Institution's headquarters such as mini tejo, frog, parqués, dominoes, volleyball, soccer, basketball, zumba, among others that began last August in the Chocontá Extension and ended in October at the Academic Sports Center (CAD), university campus of Fusagasugá.
“The graduates of the University of Cundinamarca are our family, and we are constantly seeking projects that allow us to get closer to our Udecinos. This gathering was a space to share experiences, to reconnect with friends and their families, and to strengthen our sense of belonging to this alma mater that shaped us professionally.”, Mario Fernando Ortiz Almanza, Representative of Graduates to the University Superior Council, pointed out.
At the close of the meeting, Nancy Moreno Amézquita, Graduate Representative to the University's Governing Council, extended an invitation to alumni to participate in the 1st Alumni Congress; an academic event featuring international speakers from our institution and external professionals with extensive experience in entrepreneurship and innovation. The event will take place on November 17th at the Ubaté campus.
Likewise, the attendees and participants thanked the senior management, headed by the Rector, Adriano Muñoz Barrera; the Academic Vice-Rector, Pablo Emilio Flórez Vargas; and the Administrative and Financial Vice-Rector, Myriam Lucía Sánchez Gutiérrez, for allowing the development of this project as Graduate Representatives.
This Second Meeting was also organized by the Graduate Office team led by Yency Beltrán, and by collaborators Hanier Valencia, Andrés Quiroz, Martha Morales from the Fusagasugá Campus, Yuly Vergaño from the Girardot Branch, Andrea Pinzón from the Facatativá Extension, Ángela Rodríguez from the Chía Extension, among others.
