Translocal Forum Facatativá Extension

With the presence of students, graduates, faculty, and administrative staff, the Translocal Forum was held on May 30, during which the management report was presented.

In 2018, infrastructure-related achievements included the construction of 36 classrooms that provided more comfort for the 3,400 undergraduate and graduate students to carry out their academic activities. In addition to this, a plot of land was purchased where the El Vergel Agro-environmental Center operates, which is necessary for the Agricultural and Environmental Engineering programs.

Similarly, the natural gas installation was implemented for the laboratories and administrative areas. Regarding University Welfare, three new agreements were achieved (Jóvenes en Acción, Generación E, and Cundinamarca Profesional) that improve the quality of life of the students.

Among the academic achievements, the implementation of MEDIT in the various academic programs, the meritorious theses carried out by the students, and the internships developed in important companies stand out.

Finally, the purchase of digital tools, interactive screens, and the fencing of the property, which provides greater security for the entire educational community, is highlighted.

“The purpose of the management carried out in 2018 was not about coverage, but rather about quality.”concluded the Extension Director, Carlos Fernando Gómez Ramírez
