Translocal Forum Soacha Extension

On May 29th, starting at 9:00 in the morning, students, faculty, and administrative staff gathered in the auditorium of the Soacha Extension to kick off the Translocal Forum, led by the Administrative Director of the Extension, Dr. Fabio Julio Gil Sanabria, who, accompanied by the managers of Quality, Human Talent, Goods and Services, Systems and Technology, and program directors, presented the summary of the work carried out during the 2018 term.

The forum brought together 80 people, who received information on academic-administrative progress, making it possible to highlight achievements and challenges. “The important thing was to publicize successes in research, teaching, social outreach programs, university welfare benefits, as well as the great achievement of securing resources for the new faculty lounge, which will be available starting in August of this year,” stated the Administrative Director. 

Important progress is highlighted in the academic order, infrastructure, and physical plant, reporting growth in the number of students in the academic programs offered at the Extension, going from 1,039 students in the second period of 2016 to 1,505 in the second period of 2018. Similarly, the delivery to the Udecina community of 32 academic classrooms, the adaptation and commissioning of the HAS 200 laboratory, the expansion and adaptation of the multi-strength room - Gymnasium, the commissioning of the eight-a-side synthetic soccer field, the operation of the Professor 21st Century Laboratory, and the maintenance of the physical plant in the library and block D warehouses.
