The CITGO branch in Ubaté celebrated International Innovation Day

As part of the activities of CITGO (Center for Innovation, Technology, and Organizational Management), International Innovation Day was celebrated on April 19th at the facilities of the University of Cundinamarca, Ubaté Campus. The event, which included a wide range of academic activities, opened with remarks from the Campus Director, Dr. Miguel Alejandro Flechas, who welcomed all attendees and introduced the first conference of the day. This conference was led by Certified Public Accountant Dr. Rosanno Rugueri, who captivated the audience with his presentation on the global economy.

The 1st Innovation and Entrepreneurship Showcase was inaugurated in the branch led by the Business Administration and Public Accounting programs, which allowed the great innovative and entrepreneurial potential of the dairy capital of Colombia to be evident.

During the event, Dr. Ángela Merchán, Director of Self-Evaluation and Accreditation at the University of Cundinamarca, participated, providing context to the audience on self-evaluation for accreditation purposes. This session allowed students, graduates, businesspeople, and teachers from the community to clarify doubts and concerns.

The event concluded with a discussion on Innovation as a Development Strategy for the Province of Ubaté, featuring Dr. Félix Gregorio Rojas, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences at the University of Cundinamarca; Dr. Adriana Gutiérrez, a lawyer with a Master's degree in American law specializing in intellectual property and technology from Boston University; Diego Niño, a Business Administrator specializing in business creation and a manager at CIPUEDO; and others. The event also highlighted the significant participation of the Cundinamarca Governorate, the Ubaté Valley province, and our Faculty of Systems Engineering.
