Launch of CITGO and NAF: A Bet of the 21st Century Generation

The launch of the Center for Innovation, Technology and Organizational Management (CITGO) took place in the Emilio Sierra Auditorium. This initiative by the University of Cundinamarca aims to support students, graduates, and faculty in developing their entrepreneurial ventures.

This will have an interdisciplinary team with extensive experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and organizational management to support both the public and private sectors in their growth and competitiveness.

The event was opened by the Rector of UCundinamarca, Adriano Muñoz Barrera, who was quite enthusiastic about the launch of CITGO.

The event also served to introduce students, faculty, administrators, and the community at large to the Accounting and Tax Support Centers (NAF), a social responsibility initiative proposed and guided by the Colombian Tax and Customs Authority (DIAN) for implementation at the University of Cundinamarca. This agreement allows for the creation of permanent support spaces where trained students and faculty offer basic tax guidance to individuals and businesses free of charge.

For the academic community, these emerging projects will help the University of Cundinamarca consolidate itself as a 21st-century university.

The agreement between DIAN – University of Cundinamarca and the Center for Innovation, Technology and Organizational Management “CITGO” aims to unite efforts between academia and the public sector to generate a tax culture among citizens in which taxpayers know their rights and fulfill their duties.
