New ideas, new trends, and new approaches were the main takeaways from the workshops held during the day. The goal is to contribute to the training of better physical education teachers, breaking with the repetitive methods that have often proven ineffective, explained Héctor José Peralta Berbesi, who began his teaching career in 1960 as a physical education teacher and developer of the research project "Action Participation: Colombian Gymnastics Group," recognized in Latin America as one of the most innovative programs in its field.
The call to participants is to be at the forefront, which is why active video games were used in the workshops, in which physical performance was identified thanks to the use of recreational and modern technology.
Furthermore, the young researchers participating in the first inter-university camp presented their papers following research conducted with communities, senior citizens, young people, and children, concluding that physical education and recreation can be approached from various perspectives to improve their quality of life.
