Deans and professors from the Engineering programs at UCundinamarca participated in the Teacher Training and Learning School held on May 3rd at the Fusagasugá campus, where the expected results of the new curricula, based on the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), were discussed.
“This school allows all professors to train, qualify and understand the new institutional commitments and the educational model of the University.” Victor Hugo Londoño Aguirre, Director of Self-Assessment and Accreditation, highlighted.
This educational policy aims to develop a set of processes and strategies within the framework of training, innovation and evaluation, oriented towards the continuous improvement of educational practice, teacher performance and student learning.
“Through this space, teachers not only learn how to apply MEDIT in the classroom, but also obtain tools to formulate the learning outcome.”explained Wilson Joven Sarria, Dean of Engineering.
It is worth noting that the learning pathway contributes continuously to the comprehensive development of teachers, aiming to qualify them as managers of knowledge and learning. The ultimate goal of the Teacher Training School is to train teachers as key players in the interactive and collaborative learning environment.
“This resource creates a new meaning for the Institution, thus aligning university proposals and pedagogical strategies,” he said. Pedro Meléndez, professor of the Systems Engineering program.
Teacher training remains a fundamental pillar in 21st-century education.
