With the purpose of continuing with the actions aimed at revitalizing Strategic Front V “To Dialogue with the World” of the Strategic Plan “Designing the University We Want”, The institutional call for applications to encourage academic mobility of students from the University of Cundinamarca to Spain – University of the Basque Country (UPV) is now open.

DESCRIPTION:
Number of places:
The University of the Basque Country has granted four (4) places for students from the University of Cundinamarca, meaning that there will be four (4) students from THE ENTIRE UNIVERSITY, those who have the option in this call.
Call Dates:
The application period begins on April 19th and ends on May 3rd. Each Faculty must submit the official letter with the nominated students, along with their supporting documentation, to the Academic Vice-Rector's Office no later than 5:00 pm on May 3rd.
Procedure:
Opening of the Call: The call is considered open upon the arrival of this memorandum to each Faculty.
Application Submission at the Faculty: Students interested in participating in this call for applications must comply with the provisions of Article 9 of Agreement 006 of 2015 (Attached to this document)., EXCEPT The letter of acceptance from the University of the Basque Country, which, if accepted, is obtained after the application.
For this application, students will need to:
Choosing an Academic Center and Courses: The University of the Basque Country has several academic centers (similar to campuses in Colombia) located in different cities. Students will need to consult the information available on the website and identify the center of interest. VERIFYING if that offer coincides with the period from September 2017 to February 2018. www.ehu.eus
The selection of academic spaces that the student will have chosen will replace the WORK PLAN contemplated in article 9 of the aforementioned agreement.
Students will have to complete the 2017-18 admission form (attached hereto) and attach it to the other requirements provided for in article 9 of agreement 006.
The students in the program of NURSING Those who wish to participate in this or the second call for applications, which will take place between February and June 2018, will have to apply at this call for applications. ONLY APPLIES TO NURSING.
Taking into account Article 12 of the aforementioned agreement, students should be aware that the financial support provided by the University of Cundinamarca for airfare, international insurance, living expenses, and other costs is granted according to budgetary availability. Therefore, this financial support will be considered following the selection of the chosen candidates and THERE IS NO SECURITY Students will need to ensure they have sufficient financial resources to cover their exchange semester. The University of the Basque Country estimates living expenses at between €635 and €735 per month.
The University of the Basque Country, DOES NOT RECEIVE individual applications not submitted by the University of Cundinamarca, which is why, any Direct communication between a student and the UPV always It will return to the communication channel, which in our case is the Internationalization area of the Academic Vice-Rector's Office. Therefore, please follow the procedure outlined in this document.
Extraordinary Faculty Council Meeting: In accordance with Article 10 of Agreement 006 of 2015 (attached hereto), the procedure for electing students requires the review of the application(s) by the Faculty Council. Therefore, Deans are expressly requested to set a date within the schedule of this document to facilitate their students' nominations. It is important to inform students that the selection process by the Faculty Council... NO is securing their place at the UPV. This selection will be finalized once they pass the institutional selection filter and the UPV subsequently issues the acceptance letters. Submission to the Academic Vice-Rector's Office: As a result of the student selection process in the Faculty Councils, the Academic Vice-Rector's Office will receive official submissions with the respective supporting documents until May 3, 2017, at 5:00 pm. It is important to consider that the expeditiousness and effectiveness of the final institutional selection process depends on the completeness and organization of the documentation. Selection of Applicants: The Academic Vice-Rector's Office will review the applications and select the candidates at the institutional level, prioritizing academic performance. The selected candidates will be announced through official communication and will be presented to the UPV for the final admissions process. Acceptance Letters to Students: The University of the Basque Country will, at its discretion, accept the four (4) students it deems suitable for the academic mobility process and will issue acceptance letters. The Academic Vice-Rector's Office will officially inform both the faculties and the students of the final selection. Registration, Enrollment, and Travel Process: Once students are admitted, visa processing, enrollment, and other procedures leading to the start of the exchange semester will be handled. It is important to note that while the Academic Vice-Rector's Office supports this process, the active participation of the students is essential for its success.
It is important to mention that there is no limit to the number of applicants per Faculty, which ensures an equal opportunity for all students, but it is necessary for the Faculty Council to identify the best applications, considering academic performance, since our students are the best advertisement for the continuation of the mobility program.
