Construction of the UCundinamarca alternate campus in Soacha will begin

With an investment of more than $11,600 million, access to higher education in Soacha will be expanded. More and better opportunities!

Within the framework of the National Day of Memory and Solidarity with the Victims, the Ministry of National Education, in coordination with the Virgilio Barco Vargas National Real Estate Agency (ANIM), will begin the construction of the modules for this new campus, which will feature 17 modular spaces and 9 classrooms, where programs such as Geomatics and Topography Engineering, Robotics and Automation Engineering, and Statistics and Data Science Engineering will be offered.

This initiative was born in 2022, when the current Minister of Education, Daniel Rojas, led the Special Assets Society (SAE) and managed this property to put it at the service of education. Today, as minister, he is materializing the commitment to bring real opportunities to a territory marked by violence, where education should have arrived first.

The project starting in Soacha is also an act of vindication, dignity, memory, and peacebuilding for the victims, and for a community that has resisted through truth.

We invite students, families, and all citizens to accompany this historic moment for public education, which makes us free and also builds memory and dignity.
