The Cultural Learning Field - Sowing Hope of the Ubaté branch carried out on March 10 the activity: “Gastronomic traditions with soul, heart and care for the environment” through a Facebook Live broadcast, which had a reach that exceeded two thousand people connected, including national and international users.
“We are very proud of the achievements that have been made with the Cultural Learning Field Sowing Hope, because, since its launch on October 18, 2020, the Learning Outcome has been met because it was demonstrated that actions and habits can transform the environment, based on cultural awareness experiences,” said the administrative director of the branch, Dr. Alejandro Flechas.
At the event, the animal husbandry professor, Edicson Rincón, taught the netizens how to make cheese with chikate, the most consumed fungus after the button mushroom; later, Stefany Rodríguez, entrepreneur and graduate of the Business Administration program of the branch, instructed on the process that must be taken into account to make artisanal yogurt of uchuva.
“Today we developed the eighth activity, in which we returned to gastronomic traditions with soul, heart and care for the environment, all as a component of our commitment to the development of a MOOC, so that knowledge is internalized from the Virtual Classrooms and represents academic credits for those interested,” the administrative director pointed out.
It's worth noting that the municipality of Ubaté has been a pioneer in the production of dairy products, as livestock farming is one of its main economic activities. Therefore, the objective and message were aimed at encouraging viewers to cherish the region's culinary traditions wholeheartedly, while also being mindful of environmental protection.
“The invitation is to get involved in our Cultural Learning Field with your proposals,” was Dr. Flechas’s final message.
