2018, a year of great missionary achievements at UCundinamarca

In a public hearing broadcast via streaming through the UCundinamarca website and social media, the University presented the 2018 Accountability Report to the educational community and the general public.

At the Zipaquirá Extension, the Senior Management, led by the rector of the University of Cundinamarca, Adriano Muñoz Barrera, presented to the public the missional progress, projections, and transcendental changes outlined in the 2016-2026 University Strategic Plan “Dream-Designing the University We Want,” the 2016-2019 Development Plan, and the 2015-2019 Presidential Plan “UCundinamarca 21st Century Generation.”.

The previous year was a year of great missionary achievements at the University of Cundinamarca. The progress is evidenced in the accumulated figures between 2016 and 2018, and in the balance of the results and activities carried out in each of the strategies, fulfilling the work fronts that the University has set for itself.

Thus, by the year 2018, in the management of the Self-Assessment and Accreditation process, the renewal of the qualified registration was obtained for the Specialization in Management for Organizational Development, the Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, and the Psychology program.

Similarly, it is worth noting that the initial conditions were met for high-quality accreditation by the CNA in 2018 for the programs in Animal Science, Music, and Electronic Engineering; follow-up to 100% of the academic program improvement plan, resulting from the self-assessment exercise, which strengthens the self-assessment and accreditation process with the SGC.

Likewise, the high-quality reaccreditation plan for the Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences is added, in addition to the consolidation of contingency plans for the Bachelor's Degrees in Mathematics, Basic Education with an Emphasis in Humanities: Spanish and English, and Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education with an Emphasis in Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports.

The progress in academic, scientific, and training culture is recorded in the inclusive higher education policy, the implementation of the Academic Agreements and/or Contracts procedure, and volunteering through University Interaction, a process that evidences the completion of 248 academic internships as a graduation work option.

Clearly, the year 2018 marked a turning point in the transformation process that the University has planned for the next ten years, with the curricular resignification proposed in the Transmodern Digital Educational Model, consolidating eight multidimensional learning fields, in addition to the launch of the School for Teacher Training and Learning.

In science, technology, research, and innovation, UCundinamarca stood out with 21 groups categorized by Colciencias at level C, 780 students in research seed groups, the approval of seven macro research projects, 11 projects approved with co-financing resources from Colciencias, and the recognition of new green bean varieties.

Other missionary achievements in the previous period are the completion of the first stage of construction of the Central Library and the Research Center; certification of UCundinamarca in NTC-ISO 9001:2015; execution of architectural and urban designs for the construction of the Zipaquirá Extension.

Introduction of the bill conferring honors on the University of Cundinamarca to mark the 50th anniversary of its founding; bills to approve an increase in the stamp duty rate from 0.5 to 1.51 TP3T of revenue; active transparency index with a score of 83/100; implementation of the publication of procurement contracts on SECOPI, SIA Observa, and SIGEP;

In addition to the 19 agreements with international universities and the promotion of mobility indicators for Colombian students and faculty going abroad, as well as international students visiting us on exchange.
