Entering the University of Cundinamarca and forging a better future will no longer be a distant dream for the young people of Soacha, thanks to the agreement between the University and the Municipal Education Secretariat, which consists of students entering a transition program to higher education from ninth, tenth and eleventh grades.
“Young people who pass the credits they will see in the Institutional Learning Field will be able to access the University, after presenting their Saber 11 Tests and with the fulfillment of other admission requirements, after choosing an academic program of the Soacha Extension,” explained Dr. Víctor Hugo Londoño, Academic Vice-Rector.
Likewise, the official assured that it is a milestone for education in Soacha and that the young beneficiaries will have an opportunity to immerse themselves in university life, made possible by MEDIT.
This program, managed by the University Social Interaction Office (ISU), will strengthen the exchange of knowledge with the Soacha community. The team working on this project includes the Office of Academic Development, the Administrative Office of the Soacha Extension, the Office of Virtual and Distance Education, the Directorate of Systems and Technology, the Directorate of University Welfare, the Office of Admissions and Registration, and the Academic Support Unit, all with the support and management of the Academic Vice-Rector's Office.
“The UCundinamarca team is working together to develop this project. In addition, we have created synergy with the municipal Education Secretariat and have the support of the National Ministry of Education,” said Patricia Gil, ISU director.
Throughout the week, students will continue taking diagnostic tests. It is worth noting that the welcome event will be held at the Soacha campus on August 8th, starting at 9:00 a.m., and the experiential learning activities for the Institutional Learning Fields (CAI) will begin the following day.
