For the second consecutive year, the Faculty of Sports Sciences of the University of Cundinamarca led the “World Day of Physical Activity”., The event was attended by around a thousand people, including children, young people, senior citizens, students, the university community, and residents of Ciudad Jardín.
The day dedicated to “give joy to your body” included sports, recreational and playful activities such as a town fair, Zumba, hip hop, bench tournaments, a soccer-tennis tournament, a 3 vs 3 basketball tournament, a night bike ride, among others.
The multi-motor festival and aerobics were made possible thanks to the support of the Fusagasugá Sports and Recreation Institute (IDERF).
The global physical activity event extended to the practice centers of the students of the Bachelor of Physical Education program, such as municipal educational institutions, geriatric homes, the Fusagasugá Prison and Penitentiary Center, ICBF community homes such as the El Tejar and El Progreso neighborhoods, and rehabilitation centers, including the La Luz Foundation and the Caminando Hacia la Luz Foundation.
