There are fifteen works in total, using techniques such as oil, acrylic, and colored pen drawing. “Students, faculty, and staff can view them from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm,” explains Diana Díaz, an art teacher at the University Welfare Department.

This initiative, which aligns with the University Welfare Directorate's objective of improving students' quality of life and their human development and holistic education, was launched in the context of International Women's Day and led by psychologist Paola Cubillos. According to Díaz, Cubillos sought to "show them as empowered and inspiring. It's a tribute to them, which is why they are the protagonists in these works.".

In the curatorial process, the professor included a work by the master artist Mario Monroy entitled "Displaced Today, Displaced Tomorrow." "The rest are paintings by students from the Business Administration program, graduates of animal husbandry, and a graduate of public accounting, among others. Each piece includes the title of the work and an explanation. The selection was made based on the visual arts group we've been working with since 2014," she explains.

Scarlett Aconcha Mesa, a business administration student and one of the exhibitors, contributed three paintings. “They are all inspired by the power and identity of women, who are often conceived of as feminine or delicate, and what I wanted to express is that we are a spirit of creation, far from being the weaker sex with which we have been historically stigmatized.”.

Regarding the experience of this group exhibition, she commented, “It was incredible to see our work there. We've been doing important work with Professor Diana for some time now, and having a space to share our ideas with the public is fundamental for any artist. Thanks to this exhibition, many people have approached me to congratulate me. I hope this is the beginning of many more at the university, since there are quite a few of us participating in the art group.”.

In this way, the University of Cundinamarca trains students under the premise of MEDIT, which speaks of educating a transhuman person, for life, democratic values, civility and freedom, where one moves from an education for doing and work to one for being.
