The MEDIT educational model trains individuals for life with strong values, rather than just professionals—this is precisely what organizations are looking for today. Here's the story of a company in Ubaté that only hires graduates from the University of Cundinamarca.
Sinova is a technology company that develops solutions using the cloud to offer efficiency and productivity to businesses and their employees. The idea originated in 2014 in Ubaté, Cundinamarca, with the goal of providing job opportunities for graduates of the Systems Engineering program at the University of Cundinamarca, Ubaté campus.
Since then, Sinova has been developing its objective and consolidating itself nationally and internationally with the talent of UCundinamarca. “I have always thought that the young graduates of the University of Cundinamarca – Ubaté Branch are really good at what they do, and it shocks me to know that after obtaining their professional degree, they go out to look for opportunities in big cities like Bogotá and are not valued as much as professionals who graduate from universities. top ”Recognized with headquarters in the capital; for this reason I decided to support and have professionals from the Ubaté Valley,” pointed out José Luis Malagón, manager.
Sinova implements communication and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace and Office 365 to support and help organizations automate their processes and productivity. “In our more than six years of experience, we have carried out projects with different sectors of the industry, which have benefited from the various tools provided by the technology in which we specialize: Google Apps Script and AppSheet. We develop customized business cases and contribute with tools that optimize their results,” said José Luis Malagón, manager of Sinova.
“So far, some interns who have completed their internships have stayed with the company and joined our workforce. After some time and gaining experience, they have decided to pursue a new career path. We serve as a bridge in the transition between university and the workplace, allowing them to learn, gain experience, reinforce their knowledge, and, if desired, move on to other organizations,” says Johan Alfonso, a sales assistant at Sinova.
Due to its social responsibility and commitment to its goals, Sinova has become a leading company where students look forward to completing their professional internships. It offers not only experience and learning opportunities but also job security. “Programming has always been my passion, and I applied for the opportunity to do my internship here because it’s a great way to start in the workforce. Plus, Sinova has the added benefit of accepting students from the University of Cundinamarca. Here, I’ve learned from my colleagues and applied the knowledge I’ve gained,” says Duván Guzmán, an engineer, intern, and developer from the University of Cundinamarca.
