The group won first place at the national festival in the Host category and second place in the Unreleased Rumba category with the work El Picaflor.

The Cuarteto Huellas Musicales was the winner of first place in the XI National Festival of Performers and Composers of the Rumba Criolla in the Host category and finalists in the Unpublished Rumba category with the work El Picaflor, composed by the Music program teacher, Adalberto Pardo Rodríguez, where it took second place.

The Cuarteto Huellas Musicales is made up of the professional, teacher, graduate teacher of the Music program of the University of Cundinamarca, Adalberto Pardo Rodríguez in the direction, composition, arrangements, and bandola 1, Luis Carlos Bejarano in the bandola 2, Nelson Buitrago tiple, and Luis Alberto Mican in the acoustic guitar.

Musical Footprints Quartet

Huellas Musicales is a chamber music group in the format of a typical Colombian quartet (Bandola 1, Bandola 2, Tiple, Acoustic Guitar), made up of professional and self-taught musicians.

In 2017, Huellas Musicales won second place in the Fusagasugá Municipal Portfolio of Incentives in the Research category. Compilation and recording of five (5) works by the maestro Dídimo Cubillos Rivera; after rigorous research, the resulting product was the recording of a CD in homage to the late Dídimo Cubillos, a distinguished musician and composer in Fusagasugá.

It is worth noting that in 2017 the group worked on shaping its repertoire, incorporating works by composers from the Andean region and expanding to other rhythms and genres of the country through the Colombian Andean quartet format.

They recently won first place at the XI National Festival of Performers and Composers of the Rumba Criolla in the Host category and were finalists in the Unpublished Rumba category with the work; El Picaflor, composed by Adalberto Pardo Rodríguez, taking second place.

The group was born under the initiative of maestro Adalberto Pardo Rodríguez to form a group where Colombian Andean music and the different rhythms and genres that make it up (pasillos, bambucos, guabinas, dances, criolla rumbas, among others) are interpreted and exalted.

Adalberto Pardo Rodríguez, its creator, is a Master of Music, graduated from the Music program of the University of Cundinamarca, Master in Musical Research (UNIR), guitarist, composer, arranger and director.

The professional and musical resume of this outstanding graduate is evident in the national and international events in which he has participated, such as being a contestant in the VI National Guitar Festival in the city of Popayán, performing concerts in renowned halls and auditoriums in Bogotá and Cundinamarca, and an international tour through several cities in Germany performing Colombian music with the Cundinamarca Plucked String Orchestra and the San Mateo Choir.

In the field of composition, Pardo Rodríguez has written several works for various formats, including jazz chamber ensembles and symphonic band, artistic endeavors with which he has achieved great success, including third place in the National Band Competition in Tocancipá. He has also arranged and transcribed works by Colombian composers for trios, quartets, and student ensembles.

Among her publications is her final master's thesis entitled "A didactic technique of the guitar applied to older adults between 60 and 95 years. A necessity?" in the Spanish journal "Publicaciones Didácticas" (scientific journal of teaching and research) and she completed the diploma in Pedagogical Competencies with the University of Cundinamarca, and the article Perspectives of Training in Classical Guitar of the University of Cundinamarca, published in the journal "A Contratiempo" of the National Library.

Currently, he alternates between teaching (Music program at the University of Cundinamarca, Fusagasugá Culture Secretariat), research and directing groups with concerts, musical composition and production of record works of compositions in Colombian music.
