What is the status of the GREICO research group at the University of Cundinamarca?

Professor and leader of the GREICO research group, César Augusto Giraldo Duque, was present at the III Symposium on Science, Technology and Innovation: Science in the Digital Age, organized by the University of Cundinamarca.

The research team was founded in October 2013 and is attached to the institution's Public Accounting program.

During their participation, they revealed the progress of GREICO and what projects will be announced soon.

The teacher highlighted the teamwork and the participation of women, but emphasized two projects that are planned for this year and next.

The first is one of institutional interest called: Profile of business management, its relationship with the state of environmental accounting for sustainable development in the MSMEs of the provinces of direct influence on the University of Cundinamarca.

The second project is: Strengthening technological capabilities for business management in the cape gooseberry production system in the department of Cundinamarca. This will be carried out in conjunction with the University of Colombia, and funding for its implementation is currently pending.

Their main conclusions about the team's work were:

1. The GREICO research group has been developing research activities since 2014 together with other research groups from the University of Cundinamarca and although it has not yet been categorized before Colciencias, it stands out for participating in scientific events at different universities with the involvement of student researchers who present progress in the research process.

Due to the lack of accounting research professors, it has not been possible to develop research that is only of a disciplinary nature, and only in 2020 has there been approval for research on environmental accounting that is in the process of review by the research directorate.

2. From the research results, it can be seen that the goals established by the accounting program and the research department have been met, and it is projected that a research project will be developed in 2021 with the National University to strengthen the research development in the program.
