Welcome Letter to Students, Ubaté Branch

Dear students, teachers and administrative colleagues: Wishing you well and health, I hope you are taking good care of yourselves at home.

Today I want to extend a warm welcome to the 1,241 students enrolled in the second academic period of 2020 at the Ubaté branch, of which 114 are entering for the first time the careers of systems engineering, public accounting, animal husbandry and business administration.

While the health emergency calls us to reinvent ourselves at UCundinamarca, we are committed to the Transmodern Digital Educational Model – MEDIT, which has been under development and invites us to focus on forming transhuman people, for life, democratic values, civility and freedom.

We are moving from an education focused on doing and working, to an education focused on being. This is why being at home can be beneficial in turning us into transformative agents who contribute significantly to our environment, society, and nature.

This has become a challenge that we have overcome day by day. We hope you stay motivated and find those spaces at home that make you feel comfortable so you can make the most of this isolation. Today, education has taken this form, but we mustn't stop connecting and sharing. Let technology be our ally. Don't give up; there are still people on the other side of the camera. Ask your questions with confidence and take advantage of the individuality this exercise offers.

Furthermore, I invite you to follow us on our institutional fan page @ucundinamarcaseccionalubate where we post information of interest to Ubaté students. If you have any questions about any administrative and/or academic process, you can contact us using the one-click tool via the Microsoft Teams platform at the email address provided. [email protected]

Courage, strength and serenity in the months to come, we will soon be back together.

Alejandro Flechas

Sectional Director Ubaté.
