Under the motto "Yes We Can" the exercise led by the Directorate of Self-evaluation and Accreditation 2019 for the Systems Engineering program was developed, whose objective was to raise awareness among students about the importance of Accreditation.
For Engineer Jaime Parra, Director of the Systems Engineering Program at the Facatativá Extension, the activity is very important because with this “It is possible to establish the current quality conditions of the Program, as well as identify the quality factors to measure and establish the current state of the program with a view to making improvement plans.”.
The activity was divided into three parts; awareness-raising led by Victor Londoño, Director of Self-Evaluation and Accreditation; motivation by professors Alejandro Ayure and Edgar Bustos; and the evaluation led by Mauricio Carranza, manager of the Directorate of Self-Evaluation and Accreditation.
Student participation in this activity was very high, as they are aware that they are the first beneficiaries of the institutional accreditation; likewise, it is expected that their interest will continue to increase as the process evolves.
The exercise concluded with the need to optimize and enhance the program's strengths and thus move towards continuous improvement.
