The University of Cundinamarca continues to strengthen the quality of its higher education. In the Saber Pro 2025 tests, the institution achieved an average of 151 points, three points above the national average and six points more than the result obtained in 2024.
The result was also accompanied by a record participation rate, with 2,136 Opportunity Creators taking the tests, the highest number recorded by the University in the last 10 years. “We had 2,136 Opportunity Creators participating, the highest participation recorded in the last 10 years,” highlighted Leyder Andrea Rey Vargas, head of the Office of Academic Development.
The progress was widespread: 80% of the academic programs improved their results compared to the previous period, among the regional units with the greatest increases were Ubaté, with seven points; Fusagasugá, with five; and Girardot, with three additional points.
Significant progress was also evident in specific programs. Systems Engineering registered increases of 14 points in Ubaté, 12 in Facatativá, 11 in Fusagasugá, and 11 in Chía. These results are complemented by Animal Science in Ubaté (+9 points) and Business Administration in Fusagasugá (+10 points), which demonstrate positive evolution in their learning processes.
Programs that exceed the national average
Performance was also outstanding in different areas of knowledge; Sports Science in Soacha exceeded the national average of its core curriculum by 10 points; Psychology in Facatativá, by six points; and the degrees in Social Sciences and Physical Education confirmed the strengthening of their academic processes.
These results reflect the collaborative work of Opportunity Creators, Knowledge and Learning Managers, administrators, and academic teams, as well as the support and preparation processes developed in the different regional units. “We congratulate the entire academic community for its impact on transforming the region with a High-Quality University of Cundinamarca,” stated Leyder Andrea Rey Vargas.
Beyond the numbers, this performance demonstrates the institutional commitment to an education that responds to the realities of Cundinamarca and provides opportunities to students from both rural and urban areas.
The results of Saber Pro 2025 are linked to the commitment to the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), which transcends traditional teaching to train people for life, critical and transformative, capable of relating knowledge to their reality and contributing to the solution of the needs of their communities and territories.
