We celebrate the fifth anniversary of MEDIT

By: Alejandro García Suárez – Advisory Office for Communications.

UCundinamarca celebrated the fifth anniversary of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT) with a unique experience that reached the university community, through a special route of the Transmodern Psychological Consulting Office (Mobile Unit) as one of the institution's great commitments to promote translocality and transmodernity based on the generation of well-being and happiness.

This clinic is the first University Mobile Mental Health Unit in Colombia, a project led by the Faculty of Health Sciences and the Psychology program of the Facatativá extension.

Dr. María Nancy Garzón Soche, Academic Vice-Rector (FA), highlighted the importance of this initiative: “As part of MEDIT’s fifth anniversary, we conducted a tour with the Mobile Transmodern Psychology Clinic to introduce this space and share with our community the experience of happiness, inspired by the Declaration of the Transhuman Person, which promotes the strengthening of mind and spirit, and the transformation of our lives and the lives of those around us.” The tour began on August 25 at the Ubaté branch and continued through Zipaquirá (August 26), Chía (August 28), Soacha (August 29), Girardot (September 1), and concluded at the main campus in Fusagasugá on September 2.

Five years strengthening training

MEDIT celebrates five years of revolutionizing learning at UCundinamarca. This educational model has integrated technology with a transmodern approach that puts the human being at the center of the educational process.

During these five years, MEDIT has proven to be a fundamental tool for:

  • Promote the overall well-being of the community
  • Innovating in educational methodologies
  • Strengthening human and academic development
  • Adapting education to the needs of the 21st century

The Transmodern Psychological Counseling Center represents one of MEDIT's major initiatives, which seeks to improve educational practice through psychological support and the promotion of mental health in the university community.

With this experience of happiness, UCundinamarca reaffirms its commitment to peace and harmony, demonstrating that education transcends the classroom to encompass the holistic development of the human being. Focused on the transhuman person, this initiative promotes life, democratic values, civility, and freedom.

The celebration of MEDIT's fifth anniversary marks an important milestone in the university's educational history and projects a promising future for comprehensive education in Cundinamarca.
