The institution celebrates a historic achievement after receiving official certification as a member of the Latin American Council of Management Schools (CLADEA), consolidating itself in one of the most prestigious academic networks in the world in administrative sciences.
Miguel Alejandro Flechas Montaño, dean of the Faculty of Administrative, Economic, and Accounting Sciences, received the certification during the CLADEA 2025 International Congress in Tijuana, Mexico, from September 29 to October 1. “It is very significant to be part of such an internationally recognized network that brings together 280 higher education institutions from 33 countries in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania,” the dean stated.
The university presented a paper outlining its potential contributions to the network, particularly in research. This proposal was evaluated and approved by the CLADEA Academic Committee, validating the academic quality of UCundinamarca. The process included a presentation before the full assembly, where the institution demonstrated its academic strengths and capacity to contribute to the international network.
CLADEA seeks to expand and strengthen the teaching of Management, promote research in this area, and disseminate management knowledge among Latin American social and economic organizations. These goals align perfectly with the institutional vision of UCundinamarca, which prioritizes the training of professionals with an international perspective and regional commitment.
This membership opens new possibilities for international collaboration, academic exchange, and the strengthening of research in administrative sciences. Business Administration, Accounting, and related programs will benefit directly. The network facilitates access to international best practices, innovative methodologies, and strategic contacts for joint research projects.
Admission to CLADEA positions UCundinamarca on the international map of higher education, confirming its commitment to academic excellence. This achievement strengthens the institution's reputation and benefits students, knowledge and learning managers, and graduates.
The certification validates years of work focused on educational quality, relevant research, and comprehensive professional training that now transcends regional borders to achieve global recognition.
Students and Knowledge and Learning Managers from the Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences will have access to international knowledge networks, specialized congresses and academic mobility opportunities.
This achievement represents a milestone in the history of the university and marks the beginning of a new stage of internationalization that will benefit the entire educational community in the department of Cundinamarca.
