We are ready for FILBo 2026

The University of Cundinamarca will be present at FILBo 2026 with 18 books that integrate science, culture, and innovation. The book fair will be held at Corferias from April 21 to May 4. By: Alejandro García Suárez – Communications Office.

The University of Cundinamarca will participate for the fourth consecutive year in the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo 2026), which will take place from April 21 to May 4 at Corferias. In this edition, the university's publishing house will present 18 new titles that demonstrate its commitment to knowledge generation and regional development.

The stand will be located in Hall 8, Level 1, Stand 1. There, visitors will be able to discover a diverse range of publications that integrate research, culture, innovation, and social outreach.

“We will present publications that reflect the diversity and quality of our academic production,” said César Buitrago Quiñones, general editor of the UCundinamarca publishing house.

A diverse publishing commitment

The new developments cover multiple areas of knowledge:

  • Cost systems for rural entrepreneurship ecosystems: It offers accounting tools to strengthen rural tourism ventures.
  • Rural musical expressions: It compiles musical scores and sound traditions from Cundinamarca, preserving cultural memory.
  • Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Higher Education: A guide to understanding the challenges and opportunities of AI in education.
  • The Creole rumba in the style of Emilio Sierra: analyzes This musical genre proposes arrangements that strengthen the sound heritage.
  • Geographic information systems in the digital age: It explains the use of GIS for decision-making in different sectors.
  • Raise your voice: It promotes civic participation among children and young people from a gender perspective.
  • Bodies that speak: It raises awareness of gynecological and obstetric violence and proposes strategies for its prevention.
  • Environmental participation mechanisms: It addresses tools for citizen advocacy on ecological issues.
  • What does it mean to do geography today? It invites us to rethink geography as a critical science for transforming the territory.
  • Body assessment in Paralympic athletes: It analyzes the importance of body composition in athletic performance.
  • Sports administration and organization: It presents key points for the efficient management of sports organizations.
  • Method for teaching nursing care: strengthens evidence-based practice in health education.
  • Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT): It presents an innovative proposal for 21st-century education.
  • Medicinal plants and ancestral knowledge: It rescues traditional knowledge about the use of plants in Cundinamarca.
  • Co-creating with the robot SARITA: It introduces educational robotics as a creative learning tool.
  • Taking care of yourself is also work: promotes healthy habits in work environments.
  • Business competitiveness in tourism: analyzes key factors for the development of SMEs in the sector.
  • Transmodernity: It proposes a philosophical reflection on the challenges of contemporary society.

More than books, experiences

During the fair, UCundinamarca will host podcast sessions, book presentations, and author talks. It will also participate in the cultural program with institutional groups such as the Tropical Orchestra, the bolero group, llanera music, and the Big Band.

Among the guests is the Spanish philosopher Rosa María Rodríguez Magda, author of Transmodernity, a work published in agreement with Editorial Herder.

FILBo 2026 will have India as its guest country and expects to bring together more than 600,000 visitors around literature, art and knowledge.

With this participation, the University of Cundinamarca reaffirms its commitment to research, innovation and the social appropriation of knowledge, bringing academia closer to society through reading and culture.
