The University of Cundinamarca is constantly engaged in dialogue with the challenges that arise in the national and international arena, and from there it prepares its curriculum from an intercultural and international perspective.
It is worth highlighting that the "Dialoguing with the world" policy will involve agents of the university community from the perspective of international, cultural, linguistic and research diversity to make their mission developments visible, allowing them to solve problems of a glocal nature.
For the first academic period of 2024, students from Mexico, Bolivia, and Ecuador enrolled in the Faculty of Administrative, Economic, and Accounting Sciences in Ubaté. “This initiative is a step toward academic excellence and the internationalization of the University of Cundinamarca. The program allows us to attract high-quality talent who will contribute their experiences and perspectives to the university community from different countries,” explained Catherine Valbuena Lizcano, Internationalization Coordinator.
Among the students who have enrolled at the Ubaté branch are María del Cielo Sánchez Rodríguez and Atenea Jamillet Torres Villagómez from Mexico, who will be studying Business Administration. Also joining the program is Ruben Languidey Tibacon from Bolivia, who will be studying Public Accounting. Students from Ecuador will soon be joining the Business Administration and Animal Science programs.
The official emphasized that these academic exchanges strengthen the professional training and reputation of the Ubaté branch as an educational leader in the region. She also stated that the University of Cundinamarca is positioning itself as a high-quality educational center that generates a positive impact on local and regional development by fostering cultural diversity and the global competencies of its graduates.
Students from Ecuador, Mexico, and Bolivia have joined the Business Administration and Animal Science academic programs, enriching the academic offerings. “This step not only highlights the quality of the University but also enhances its positive impact on the region. The cultural diversity and global academic experiences foster local and regional development, training professionals with a global perspective,” Valbuena Lizcano pointed out.
He added that “our mission is to offer a high-quality education with a global perspective. In every area of knowledge, we promote learning that integrates innovation and cultural diversity.”
Welcome to the Ubaté branch, where excellence and diversity meet!
