The University of Cundinamarca commends the work of professors Adriana Yesca Cifuentes Guerra and Vladimir Alberto Pinzón García from the Music program at the Zipaquirá Extension, who were accepted by FLADEM (Latin American Forum for Music Education) to participate as speakers at the “XXV Latin American Seminar on Music Education” with the presentation “Evaluation in music: Reflections, proposals and challenges”. This seminar takes place at El Bosque University (Bogotá) from July 2nd to 6th, 2019.
FLADEM is the Latin American Forum for Music Education, an international network of music educators who, in national, local, regional, and other groups, are dedicated to developing and implementing their own proposals and models for institutional and pedagogical communication. FLADEM's primary function is to provide a physical and legal infrastructure to its member individuals and national groups, establishing the foundation for promoting and ensuring maximum communication and the flow of information among its members.
FLADEM considers as exhibitors of the event those teachers, musicians, groups or institutions that are developing or have carried out some pedagogical or musical activity that provides substantial elements to the formal or non-formal musicalization process and that contains criteria of quality and currentness to be exhibited and multiplied.
In this regard, the 2019 International Academic Committee determined that the proposal submitted by Professors Cifuentes and Pinzón from UCundinamarca aligns with the event's objectives and principles. Therefore, it was confirmed as part of the academic program of the XXV Latin American Seminar on Music Education (FLADEM), and selected to participate in the "Pedagogical Experiences and Methodological Proposals" session. The University congratulates them and wishes them every success at this important event.
