Human rights: part of professional training?

Academic and research work by a group of graduates from the University of Cundinamarca was highlighted and published in the international journal Academic Integration in Psychology of the Latin American Association for the Training and Teaching of Psychology.
The article Attachment and parenting practices as factors associated with academic performance in adolescents, The study, conducted by graduates of the Psychology Program at Udecino University, Angie Lorena Cerón, Mahylit Merchán González Rafael and Leonardo Cortes Lugo, addressed studies related to attachment types and parenting practices as factors associated with academic performance in adolescents between 15 and 18 years of age.
The methodology used by this group of graduates was quantitative with a descriptive correlational design in which they used as instruments an adaptation of the educational styles assessment scale and the secure base questionnaire.
The study results indicate that no specific attachment style was identified in the mother. In the case of the father, an insecure attachment style was evident. Furthermore, the study found that parental attachment style is significantly related to academic performance; however, parenting practices were not associated with academic performance.
Furthermore, the research led by graduates Leslie María Buitrago and Luzmila Cordón Espinosa presents the levels of anxiety and stress in older adults in situations of family abandonment, geriatric home in the municipality of Facatativá.
The results of this research were obtained through a descriptive analysis, which revealed no significant levels of anxiety or stress in the target population. This led to the conclusion that the condition of these older adults does not affect them due to their adaptability, thanks in part to the benefits provided by the home environment.
