UCundinamarca joins the Colombian Association of Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences

From this date forward, this faculty will be able to participate in research projects and exchange knowledge of national management in relation to the humanities and social sciences.

The University of Cundinamarca will be part of the Colombian Association of Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences, an entity that promotes the recognition and defense of these areas of research that exist in the country.

After joining this association, the Institution will now be able to participate in research, development, creation and innovation projects established by its directors and members, as well as the exchange of experiences, achievements and aspects specific to the object of study of the humanities and social sciences.

“For the University of Cundinamarca, being an active member of the Colombian Association of Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences generates an academic impact on the faculty, since it will allow us to make our Institution and therefore our transmodern digital educational model more visible.””,” explained the dean of Social Sciences, Darwin Andrés Díaz Gómez.

Another important aspect to highlight is the creation of lines of work based on the University Educational Project of the “21st Century Generation” promoted by the University of Cundinamarca.

The process of linking the Faculty of Social Sciences, Humanities and Political Sciences to this entity began last year in the second semester after receiving an invitation to be part of the Central Regional of the Colombian Association of Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences.

At this event, one of the parts of the meeting was the creation of a board of directors for the Central Region, in which the University of Cundinamarca was welcomed to be part of the Board of Directors of the Central Region.

Subsequently, on October 5, 2017, the Central Regional Coordination of the Colombian Association of Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences was formed. Dean Darwin Andrés Díaz Gómez was elected to head the Research and Creation Commission for the Central Regional Coordination, representing the University of Cundinamarca.

In total, there are 10 dean representatives from different universities in the region who are part of this association.
