Transmodern Gym, physical, spiritual and mental well-being!

The event, called Elemental Fusion, held on August 28th at the various regional campuses, marked the opening of the Transmodern Gymnasium, which offers the university community physical, mental, and spiritual well-being every semester. Dr. María Margarita Moya González, Director of University Welfare, expressed her gratitude for the massive participation of administrative staff, students, Knowledge and Learning Managers, graduates, and other members of the university community in this enriching experience.

It is worth noting that this gym offers 4 routes to guarantee well-being in all its phases:

Unlimited Energy: Seeks to combine relaxation and emotional management with physical strengthening through activities such as rumba, zumba, and different types of musical physical activity.

Create and Connect: Allows participants to connect with inner emotions through artistic experiences such as visual arts (painting, origami, sculpture, drawing, crafts, etc.).

Alma Latina: It focuses on the dance of Latin rhythms such as bachata, salsa, champeta, salsa choque and merengue, as tools to connect with identity, strengthen social bonds and promote emotional expression.

Emotions to Failure: With a focus on self-control, self-knowledge, relaxation, concentration, connection, and strengthening essential skills for emotional management through activities that link yoga, meditation, among others.

For Kumari Prieto, a Business Administration student at the Fusagasugá campus, this experience clearly helps to relieve stress, have fun, and take care of physical and mental health, so she appreciates these kinds of initiatives.

For his part, Santiago Guzmán, a Systems Engineering student, highlighted that these days allow students to share with other classmates and release accumulated tension, "It is an experience that relaxes us and motivates us to want more activities of this type to be carried out.".

The University Welfare Directorate reaffirmed its commitment to continue creating experiences that positively impact the lives of students, knowledge managers, administrative staff, and graduates, thus strengthening the development of the transhuman person and happiness at UCundinamarca.

These experiences are framed within the Transmodern Digital Educational Model (MEDIT), which promotes an innovative, transformative education focused on the well-being of the human being as the fundamental axis of university life.
