Ubaté Translocal Forum, positive balance!

This event was opened by the director of the Ubaté branch, Dr. Johana Gil, who began her remarks with an insightful summary of her administration's work. “We achieved 100% completion of the maintenance of roofs and water-based sanitary units, the complete renovation of student lockers, and the replacement of all metal doors on the Animal Science counters, among other projects. The total investment amounted to 774 million pesos.”.

Regarding the management of Admissions and Registration, the senior official stated that the university graduated 533 students and reported 2,778 academic updates, including the voluntary cancellation of the semester by 48 students and 104 internal transfers.

Regarding the cultural learning program "Sowing Hope," Dr. Gil gave a positive assessment. "Four activities were carried out: Cultural Traditions with Soul, Heart, and Environmental Care, with 2,863 participants; Reclaiming Ancestral Knowledge, with 1,597 participants; Developing Creative Capacity, Low-Cost Technologies, with 754 participants; and Social Cartography, with 1,143 participants, for a total of 6,357 participants across all these activities.".

Likewise, he emphasized the work of the branch's communications department, which reported a total of 6,828 followers on the Ubaté fan page, a social network through which 22 live broadcasts and 510 posts were made to inform the university community.

In turn, the coordinator of the Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences, Dr. Liliana Margoth Rodríguez Bolívar, said that in Science, Technology and Research the Adcun group was categorized, in addition the publication of the book 30 years of Regional Transformation Ubaté was carried out, and the articulation of two projects was developed, one with the National University to present papers, research and publications, and the other of an internal nature for the preparation of papers and articles.”.

Regarding participation in academic activities, Dr. Rodríguez commented that in 2022 she participated in the Colsit Network with four presentations: Translocal Forum of Research Seedbeds, International Multidisciplinary Translocal and Transmodern Congress of Scientific Dissemination 2022 and V Symposium of Science Technology and Innovation UCundinamarca.

She concluded her remarks by explaining that 293 people participated in the projects carried out by University Social Interaction. For her part, Johana Castiblanco Forero, coordinator of the Public Accounting program, reported that two dialogue sessions were held, and the Saber Pro exam pathways included two mock exams. Based on this experience, plans for improvement, consolidation, and analysis were developed.

Similarly, he confirmed that three conferences, four mirror classrooms, a fusion chair, several mobility programs, and two international internships were organized.

He concluded his dissertation by stating that there are two research groups: Semicon and Oikonomía, highlighting that they also participated in the research for the book: Biotechnological Development for the Agricultural Sectors of the Department of Cundinamarca, and participated in the presentation at the IV Meeting of Research Groups, Living the Medit and at the XVIII National and VIII International Congress of Research in Public Accounting.

Similarly, Dr. Ana Lucía Hurtado from the Systems Engineering program at the Ubaté branch explained that a monitoring process was carried out on students from the Curriculum Committee and in the Saber Pro routes, an improvement plan was achieved with workshops to strengthen students' skills, four dialogic meetings were also developed and the monitoring through Syllabus of the thematic contents of the teachers and the training and learning agreements.

In Science, Technology, and Research, he explained that four internal grant projects, three presentations, three book chapters, and scientific articles were completed, among other activities. He stated that ISU organized a total of nineteen events, reaching 3,480 attendees, resulting in a 96.1% effectiveness rate.

Regarding the Animal Science program, Dr. María Janeth Camargo mentioned the achievement of the renewal and modification of the qualified registration and the presentation of four proposals with two projects approved in the internal call.

As part of the academic work, he emphasized that three seedbeds participated in the I Tour of Seedbeds Rumbo: Walking towards the SDGs, others were in the IV Meeting of Research Seedbeds Living the Medit and the Workshop Care and Safe Management of Beehives.

This interesting panel featured professionals and academics Hamilton Guzmán, Segundo Leonardo Cortes, Jeny Gómez Murcia, Jair Gutiérrez, Diana Liceth Alonso, Angie Valeria Gomez, Jeny Pataquiva, and Juan David García, who presented their achievements.
