The News Agency of the University of Cundinamarca, with the objective of learning about the balance, results and activities of the first academic semester of the Business Administration program of the Ubaté branch, interviewed the program coordinator Liliana Margoth Rodríguez Bolívar, who told us about her progress in the implementation of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model MEDIT, the achievements and the main challenges for the second academic period.
It is worth noting that the “Route 2020” is the new curriculum, and the first academic program to enter this route was Administration, that is, it became the first undergraduate program to be redefined.
UCundinamarca News Agency (ANUC) How is the Transmodern Digital Educational Model, MEDIT, being implemented in the program?
Liliana Margoth RodríguezThe Business Administration program at the Ubaté branch has implemented the Transmodern Digital Educational Model, not only in the training and learning processes, but also in the development of substantive and transversal functions; that is, this is the support for the work being done with the students.
With students as active and transformative subjects, we have been implementing Medit through proposals and practical work.
We have a strong connection with all the core functions, such as Science, Technology and Innovation, and University Social Interaction. In the program, we strive to apply the Learning Field methodology to the development of all experiences, not only in training but also in various University Social Interaction settings.
ANUC: What significant achievements can you highlight from the program?
Liliana Margoth RodríguezBy 2024, we have submitted and received approval for the initial conditions for the accreditation process. Likewise, our development and participation in the University Social Interaction calls for proposals, along with the ongoing projects in Science, Technology, and Innovation, carried out in conjunction with the Engineering and Animal Science programs, represent a significant achievement for us.
We are fully committed to Route 2020, working with our graduates. It's worth noting that we have built a strong team of Knowledge and Learning Managers.
ANUC What measures were implemented to improve the quality of education in the program during the first semester?
Liliana Margoth RodríguezTalking about educational quality is quite complex because we not only have to ensure compliance with our established plan and curricular and institutional guidelines, but we also have to develop monitoring strategies to verify that the purposes and scope of the Transmodern Digital Educational Model are truly being met. We conduct regular reviews with advisors and counselors, and the coordination team monitors progress to ensure everyone is on track and that processes are well underway, so we can participate in calls for proposals. We also verify the academic success of our students.
ANUC: What are the program's objectives and challenges in the second half of 2024?
Liliana Margoth RodríguezThis semester started off very well; the proposal for a Master's degree in Digital Marketing was presented by the Faculty of Administrative, Economic and Accounting Sciences, and we received a visit from academic peers.
Our new challenges include coordinating effectively with Science, Technology and Innovation through University Social Interaction in the calls for proposals that will be presented in 2025. Likewise, we will focus on the participation, organization, and planning of Expo UCundinamarca for this year and, of course, continuing to attract new students to our program.
