The Administrative Director of the Facatativá extension, Dr. Carlos Fernando Gómez Ramírez, carried out a review of the management carried out during the year 2022, describing this period as a year of good results in which an extraordinary experience was lived.
According to the director, a particularly noteworthy aspect of this administration is the impact the University of Cundinamarca has had on the municipality of Facatativá and other municipalities in the Sabana de Occidente region of Cundinamarca. This impact has been achieved through projects focused on environmental issues, land use, administrative and accounting sciences, and systems engineering, which have positively impacted several communities in the region. All of this aligns with the institution's mission and translocal approach.
Other achievements of the 2022 administration are the following:
The Institutional Environmental Management Plan (PIGA), supported by the Environmental Management System, was finalized. In this regard, the extension program focuses primarily on three areas: water conservation, energy efficiency, and recycling practices. Thanks to these efforts, the Environmental Management System received quality certification from ICONTEC.
-The Translocal Forum was held, in which the actions implemented by the extension in accordance with the 2020-2023 Development Plan were made known.
-A total of 5,000 followers were established on the Extension's Facebook Fanpage, enabling ongoing communication with the educational community to address their requests and needs. 2,600 requests submitted through this channel were handled.
-10,400 academic practices were attended to in the Agricultural Science laboratories.
-1,500 students were served in the computer rooms.
-Two graduation ceremonies were held, corresponding to the two semesters of 2022, in which 589 students from the Extension graduated.
-30,000 users were served at the Extension Library.
