The administrative director, Johanna Andrea Gil P., summarized the management achievements for the year 2022.

Andrés Bernal – Communications Advisory Office

“Regarding the management for 2022, I want to highlight the constant communication with our community, and a good channel has been the Ubaté fan page, which has had a significant increase in followers, currently reaching 6,400. This year, 442 posts have been made and 4,600 people have liked them. These actions are positive because we notice that our community follows us to find out about events and news through this channel,” explained Dr. Johanna Gil.

The academic program in Animal Science is notable for the work done through mirror classrooms; the organization of the Equine Seminar, the celebration of the day of the animal scientist with the participation, not only of students but also of external personnel, in which experiences were shared such as the productive strengthening of small and medium sheep producers in the municipality of Tausa.

Regarding the Systems Engineering program, the various activities that have involved not only UDEC students but also students from educational institutions in the province stand out. For example, the Mathematics Olympiad was held, with the participation of approximately 140 students, and the "Experience the University with ICT" activity, in which 108 students participated, all from different schools in the region. The Workshop was also carried out with significant participation from the educational community.

The Business Administration program held the Entrepreneurship Fair, the Business Fair, and the Virtual Transmodernity Fair. In addition, it partnered with the Financial Superintendency and offered finance training for both students and external staff. The International Forum for the Solidarity Sector was also held, with 250 participants.

“Regarding the Public Accounting program, we can highlight our participation in important national and international academic activities that strengthen the teaching and learning processes of our students. We attended the Summit of the Americas, organized by the Inter-American Accounting Association; we participated in an international congress organized by the Latin American Congress of Schools of Administration (CLADEA); we were invited by the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) to participate in the World Congress of Accountants; the Association of Faculties of Public Accounting (ASFACOP) invited us to participate in the Assembly of Faculties of Public Accounting; we attended the International Congress of Public Accounting; and CONFECOOP invited us to the Statutory Auditing Symposium,” concluded the administrative director.

Clearly, these meetings demonstrate the dynamism and commitment of teachers, administrators, and students to build learning and the country.
