With activities, conferences, cultural displays, and contests, the Public Accounting program commemorated the work of accountants on March 22, 23, and 24. The program included lectures on emotional intelligence, public speaking, and the power of communication, as well as discussions with representatives from the Colombian Tax and Customs Authority (DIAN), the National Association of Accountants (NAF), and international internship students.
“These events allow students to strengthen their skills and unleash their creativity, since through the Noti TikTok activity, students from each semester presented, in a humorous way, activities typical of a public accountant, within the framework of MEDIT, and the declaration of the transhuman person,” pointed out Ledis Johana Castiblanco, coordinator of the Public Accounting program
The commemoration was very well received by students from all semesters of the program and by companies in the region who participated in and sponsored some of the activities carried out.
This event fostered a sense of belonging and passion for the accounting profession among students by promoting diverse artistic skills. It also facilitated interaction between students, faculty, alumni, and the community at large with the Colombian National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN), contributing to the improvement of tax awareness in the region.
