Human rights: part of professional training?

With the purpose of publicizing the tools, policies, production, management and conservation of orchids, the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and the PROSAFIS research group held the Third Seminar: Exploration of the ecology and adaptation of orchids: a productive and conservation commitment in the Emilio Sierra auditorium.
The event was attended by more than 150 people, including members of the academic community, agricultural technical assistants, the productive sector (nurseries), and professionals in Agricultural Sciences interested in learning more about orchids.
The seminar featured keynote presentations of technical and scientific interest. Carolina Castellanos Castro from the Humboldt Institute addressed topics related to tools for orchid conservation in Colombia: regulations, plans, initiatives, among others.
For his part, Efraín Cruz from the Secretary of Economic Development spoke about the policies for the conservation of natural resources in the municipality of Fusagasugá, Manuel Almanza, Civil Engineer, covered the recognition, management and conservation of native orchids, and Cilia Leonor Fuente from the company Epiflora presented the production and commercial use of orchids.
