The University of Cundinamarca skating team participated with great success in the final of the Golden Route Cup, Departmental Ranking 2025, held from June 6 to 8 at the Academic Sports Center (CAD) of the Fusagasugá campus.
Maribel Chala Castillo, the team's coach, celebrated the outstanding participation of 16 athletes in the junior, transition, and senior categories, who achieved a total of 31 medals, including 3 in the team modality.
Among the most outstanding achievements are the championship in the junior category, a fifth place in transition and second place in the overall classification.
Chala Castillo expressed her gratitude for the commitment of her running mate, instructor Claudia Johanna Hernández Rodríguez, and highlighted the valuable support of the parents, which is fundamental to achieving the sporting objectives.
The event brought together 343 skaters and 34 clubs from different municipalities in the department, consolidating the Golden Route as a fundamental space for the development of skating in Cundinamarca.
The club continues its training and is committed to strengthening university sports with a regional identity.
