Yeison Quintero Lidueñez and Estiven Amazara García, ninth-semester students in the Animal Science program at Francisco de Paula Santander University, visited the Ubaté branch from June 20 to 24. There, they exchanged experiences, knowledge, learning, and culture.

During their experience they learned about the El Tibar Agro-environmental Unit and the different production processes that are handled there such as rabbits, sheep and the dairy part and they took part in the laboratories, practices, and defense of projects of the students of the program of our university.

For Yeison Quintero and Estiven Amazara, Animal Science exchange students, the experience at the Ubaté branch was “gratifying. We learned many things here, had several pleasant experiences, and got to know the culture of the region, which is very different from where we came from. We gained experience learning about dairy farming, which was innovative.”.

The Animal Science program coordination team made visits to the towns in the region and to livestock and dairy farms to share experiences and knowledge with the exchange students.

“We were amazed by the dairy and livestock industry in the region. Ubaté and the surrounding towns are very beautiful and pleasant. We would definitely do this experience again,” said Quintero and Amazara, national exchange students.
