The Secretary for Social Development and Community Participation, through the Victims of the Armed Conflict Management Office, in coordination with Military District 59, delivered military service cards to the population victimized by the conflict residing in the municipalities of Soacha and Sibaté in the auditorium of the Soacha Extension.
This is in order to comply with the provisions of Law 1448 of 2011 in its article 140 “EXEMPTION FROM MILITARY SERVICE. Except in the case of foreign war, the victims referred to in this law who are obligated to perform military service are exempt from performing it, without prejudice to the obligation to register and carry out the other corresponding procedures to resolve their military status for a period of five (5) years counted from the date of promulgation of this law or the occurrence of the victimizing event, who will be exempt from any payment of the military compensation fee.”
Our alma mater, aware of the country's problems and seeking to support these processes that allow our young Colombians to participate in higher education, arranged everything necessary for the event to take place and benefit all these Colombians who seek a better future for themselves and their families.
Soacha Extension supporting the people of Soacha!
