The Simulation Center, a great resource for learning

40 people, including students from the University's Nursing program and external health personnel from the municipality, will be certified for the second semester of the year after participating in the workshop on the care and management of skin wounds, which took place in the Simulation Center that has state-of-the-art resources.

“Specifically in the workshop we worked on topics such as the functions of the skin, prevention and treatment for its care; as well as ostomies, their care and types, healing and scarring of wounds, among others,” mentioned Lady Carolina Díaz, teacher of the Nursing program and leader of the workshop.

Therefore, in order to train and guide health personnel and, of course, the students of UCundinamarca in the management of this type of injury, this workshop was carried out with high fidelity simulators, slides and high-tech dressings that are part of the institution's simulation center for the protection and healing of wounds.

Finally, it is worth mentioning that for the next semester, diplomas and basic and advanced courses will be offered in subjects such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, laboratory sample collection and intensive care, among others, taking advantage of the resources available at this academic space.
