What is the Latin American Workshop?
Ana Hurtado Mesa (AHM): It will be an event where students and teachers from across the country and internationally will meet to share experiences in the area of software development and strengthen skills and abilities in the field of Engineering.
Experiences and knowledge in programming will be shared, promoting creativity and innovation in digital development.
A workshop, also known as an intensive training session, can be defined as a training event with educational objectives. It is organized to communicate relevant information and educate participants on a specific topic. It has clear objectives and a select group of participants who are empowered to deliver the desired outcome. Furthermore, a workshop fosters trust and enriching communication among those involved.
Why is this event important for the university community?
AHM: To strengthen academic training processes in the professional profile of the engineer, where the participation of national and international universities will be convened in order to share experiences and knowledge in different programming languages promoting creativity and innovation in software development, based on the principles of the transmodern digital educational model.
To illustrate experiences in the field of software development and new technologies in a clear and precise manner, so that it is easily reproducible, making known the technological advances of the current era.
What will we have in the Latin American Workshop 2021?
AHMThis is a space that contributes to the generation of projects or business ideas and entrepreneurship in different areas of software such as: application development, websites, mobile application design, etc., to meet high-quality standards and new software development trends

8:15 am - 8:30 am Opening remarks of the event by Eng. Wilson Joven Sarria, dean of the faculty of engineering.
8:30 am – 9:45 am The role of the Engineer as a software developer, presented by Ezequiel Suarez, a systems engineer with a Master's degree in Computer Science, and an expert in the establishment of new technology companies.
