Human rights: part of professional training?

The University of Cundinamarca, in accordance with the principles of public administration such as transparency, publicity and democratic participation, carried out The First UCundinamarca Management Report Meeting, Generation 21st Century, 2017 Term, in order to present the mission achievements obtained during this year and the continuous improvement in organizational management.
The Management Meeting It revolved around the macro-processes: Strategic, Missional, Support, Monitoring, Measurement, Analysis and Evaluation, which are framed within the strategic plan, master plan and action plans.
The Rector, Adriano Muñoz Barrera, and his management team presented management reports for 2017 and a review of the goals of the 2018 action plan corresponding to each of the departments and processes under their charge that are related to the mission of the University, processes of self-evaluation and institutional accreditation, research, teachers and students, internationalization, research, university welfare; administration and management of financial resources, expansion and modernization of academic and physical plant; environmental management among other aspects.
The event focused on the processes of the academic vice-rector's office, the general secretariat, and the administrative and financial vice-rector's office, departments that reviewed all the activities, goals, and achievements obtained during 2017. Subsequently, each of the macro-processes was evaluated, and at the end of the management meeting, the guidelines for the 2018 action plan were established, stated José Correa, Director of Institutional Planning.
Among the most relevant aspects of the management of UCundinamarca during this year 2017, Highlights included the high-quality accreditation of the Bachelor's Degree in Basic Education with an Emphasis in Social Sciences program, awarded by the Ministry of National Education during the Night of the Best; the outstanding results in the Colciencias assessment of research groups, with 23 categorized groups, 39 categorized researchers, 25 published articles, and the presentation of national and international papers; the acquisition of resources for the construction of the new library and research center, which will contribute to the management of knowledge and bibliographic resources for students, teachers, staff, and the community in general; and the acquisition of the land and resources for the construction of the Zipaquirá extension.

In turn, the academic vice-rector, Orlando Blanco Zúñiga, highlighted the 18 days of the construction of the transmodern digital educational model, teacher categorization, compliance in the training and education for teachers at the postgraduate level, progress of the articulation project with technical, secondary and technological education, assurance of the quality of learning, and in the area of research the Institution has 409 seedbeds, 53 groups endorsed institutionally, and 24 categorized groups.
Regarding academic support, the conditions of the farms, libraries, and laboratories were significantly improved. Furthermore, efforts continue to strengthen teaching and learning processes through the integration of ICTs, the academic vice-rector added.
In the area of university interaction and social projection through the Faculty of Sciences, Administrative Economics and Accounting, 24,100 people were impacted and in continuing education, 3,061 people were impacted.
Furthermore, the Institutional Planning Directorate, fostering a planning culture through the management of plans, programs, and projects that support strategic decision-making and the fulfillment of leadership and advisory activities, highlighted the 2016-2026 Prospective and Strategic Plan "Designing the university we want," achieving goals in more than 80%.
Finally, José Correa, Director of Institutional Planning and leader of the event along with his team, highlighted the coordinated work of each of the directors, deans, teachers and administrative staff who in one way or another contribute to the management of the organization, and urged them to continue in 2018 with the new challenges that the University must assume in the face of the 21st century.
